Hurtigruten drives on the regions of the Arctic with its newest ship, the ms Fram, in the summer and Antarctic in the German winter. The reduced expeditions take place between November and March, it both 12-tägige and 20-tägige journeys are offered. The next expedition trip for the fascinating width of the Antarctic starts on 18 November 2009.
In the Antarctic the Ertde is still as uraprünglich as before many thousand years. In the Antarctic still surreale ice landscapes unite with a unique animal world. The guest explores and experiences the impressing world of the penguins, sea-birds, seals and whales very closely and travels in relaxed, casual on-board atmosphere reliably by the eternal ice of the South Pole region.

The ms FRAM, after that  famous discoverer Fridtjof Nansen  is the youngest ship of the HURTIGRUTEN fleet. The FRAM was conceived particularly for discoverer sea voyages in the Arctic and Antarctic with ice class 1B and the most modern technical standard, like two stabilizers in the center of the ship.
