Southeast Alaska is a spectacular land of glaciers, lushly forested islands, and coastal mountains that soar steeply to snow-capped peaks. Most visitors see this landscape from the deck of a cruise ship, and explore its treasures after streaming onto the wharves at Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and other ports of the Inside Passage.
